I've noticed that people who work hard and work a lot tend to be boring. I think I've figured out why. In working so hard, they drain their energy to the point that, when the time comes to relax and rest, they'd much rather engage in mentally and physically inactive activities. They don't want to discuss new ideas, they don't want to go do things, they don't want to be challenged in any way. Hence our obsession with television and fast food. We should all just chill the fuck out and stop taking everything so seriously, stop working so hard. But hard work is too entrenched in our culture; it'll never happen.
